The Model United Nations program enables students to develop skills in debate, public speaking, cooperation and diplomacy by being part of active discussions and arguments. Once again the team travelled to Greenville, NC to participate in the East Carolina University Model U.N. conference representing the Philippines. There, team members worked in the General Assembly, the Security Council and the Crisis Council to pass resolutions and engage in unrehearsed discussions on hypothetical global emergencies.
In April, the team, along with advisor, Mr. Douglas Weaver, also traveled to the International United Nations convention in Dublin, Ireland where they represented Italy. Both trips were made possible through extensive fund-raising during the year.
